Diamond: Are individuals in the process of converting to Judaism allowed to wear kippahs?
I am in early stages of converting to Judaism and desire to wear the kippah during even these times. However, I’m not sure if it’s allowed or looked down upon. Can someone please help?

Yes; you can wear a kippah if you wish. It’s tradition, not law, in any case. You can order them online very easily.
Yes. Even non-Jewish guests may be allowed, or even expected, to wear a kippah.
It will depend on sect or the synagogue, but in general, you should probably be save doing so, especially if you’re in the process of converting, during which you should strive to live as Jewishly as possible.
Answer by PinkyIt is not a sin to wear one before you fully convert, I think it is a personal preference. You may ask this question to the Rabbi who is helping you in your conversion process as well.Answer by Aryeh M
Yes.
A Ger usually begins to wear a kippah when s/he makes the commitment to keep kosher and observe the majority of Sabbath laws.
Answer by Truth CrusaderIf you were actually converting to Judaism you would have a Rabbi who would guide you through the conversion and converse with regularly. I do not believe you.Answer by DrXavierAJones
Its alright, I ‘m converting, and I wear it almost every wear I go. Some numb-skulled Non-Jews might say that its offensive but actually, my Jewish friends always tell me to keep it on, and not to care what people think of me.Answer by ChallahGirl
It does seem strange. Questions about the minhag of your community should be addressed to your Rabbi as we are all from different communities and there are variations in customs. Some Orthodox Rabbis, may say that away from synagogue it may be misleading, but would probably not discourage you. Some would absolutely require it. Either way you should be prepared to explain your status if someone approaches you for a minyan.
