Desiree: Are children growing more likely to disrespect their parents if their parents are religious?
You can’t deny it, society is rapidly shifting away from religion. The more science reveals about the universe, the less role gods and the supernatural have in our perception of reality. Thanks to the internet and our education systems, most of today’s youths have a better understanding of the universe than their parents. If their parents are religious, then this will inevitably cause a lack of respect from the child towards their parent. Children disrespecting parents is the root cause of a lot of anti-social behavior in society, right? So religious parents really need to become more secular for the sake of their children and society, right?

And the bible says you must stone these unruly kids if they don’t do as you say.
Religion is not the reason a child gets brought up right, the parent is. My Dad believed in Jesus, but I never really accepted it. This did not stop him from being an awesome Dad.

Wait, wait, wait. You went wrong as soon as you said that a difference of beliefs-if a kid can even escape their parents beliefs- causes disrespect. Not true at all. A difference of opinion us in no way shape or form disrespect.Answer by Iron Fists of Andy Kaufman
Well, it would be very difficult to take them seriously if they are carrying on out some sky dude.
Thank GOD my parents aren’t religious! *
