Na Na: How would this benefit a mother over making the father child support?
How would this benefit a mother over making the father child support? When her daughter is born instead of not making her father pay child support, she basically allows her daughter to live with her father who still lives with her parents. She knows that if she were to abandon her with, him & his parents will take good care of her, and will go out of there way so the child can see her mother. The mother can basically see her any time she wants to and she knows that. He (her boyfriend) broke of the relationship before she was born but the mothers knew that he would be a good father.

That’s fine.
This is not about the mother. It is about the child. Everything needs to be for the child and not for the parents. Custody arrangements should legally be in writing before the child arrives so, if there is a problem after the child is born, the child does not have to be involved in a long drawn out legal fight. The child did not ask to be born and should not have to worry about he or she is causing stress to the parents.Answer by [emo kidd]

The benefit to the mother in this case is that she feels like the child will be taken care of. Obviously if she did something like this she knew she wasn’t fit to have custody of the child. With that being said she still needs to be paying child support, and establishing her rights as a parent. Just because the father and his family have custody does not mean she’s off the hook for taking care of her child.
