Mommy of Lily, Daisy, and Jayson: Are apartment managers usually willing to work with you when it comes to your rent?
I have never been late and have been living in the same apartment for 4 and a half years. Now, I am facing a delema because I will only have half of my rent by the time rent is due and the other half a week late. Are apartment managers usually willing to be flexiable or do they have a strict order they have to stict to?

If you take them one-half of the rent ON TIME, and the make a commitment to pay the other half within ten days, the RM should give you not one problem based on your previous history.
One thing: Be sure to pay on time next month so as to not cause any “red flags” on your lease.
Answer by Ellen LIt would take more than a week to evict you anyway. If it’s not something you are going to make a habit of I’m sure they will wait a week for the other half. Good luck.Answer by New-Puppy-Owner
Probably depends on who the manager is, what kind of person they are. You might go in and talk to her/him and tell them that you’re going to be late, or 1/2 of it will be late and see what they say. It’s better to be up front with them so they don’t think you’re trying to get away w/out paying. Just explain what happened. If you have always been on time in the past, I can’t see them being too upset about it.Answer by Katherine W
Depends. Depends on why you’re late. Usually you have to pay a late fee if you’re late, but they won’t start eviction proceedings immediately. Go and explain the problem and when you’ll have the money… don’t wait for them to have to come to you. Also check your lease, you might have a waiting period listed in it.
Also, look for nonprofit organizations near you that might be able to help you. Maybe a church can help? Or United Way might be able to tell you where you can go for help. There’s also an organization online that helps people, called www.modestneeds.org.

Well it’s not their Place of Business, they just work there, most will look at it this away, if you’re late now, what about the next month, that’s coming, can you pay all of what you’ll going to own them in last, and this month rent, i would go to family, first…Answer by Marla
You should be OK for 1 week. If there is anything, they could ask you to sign a note receivable which could have interest for the late payment. Their not trained to evict as a business manager. First they will go after late fees and such instruments like the banks.Answer by hautemama
some. you only know if you ask. ours does, we’ve seen others utilize their lenient policy. 1/2 on the 1st, 1/2 on the 15th typed thing i think.Answer by estielmo
It depends. But with a good record and assuming you will pay the following week, simply explain it to your landlord, pay the penalty and don’t doit again. But be warned he may not be tolerant when it happens again.
Though to be honest some landlords LOVE late tenants. Those penalties add up fast.
Answer by CymoneyMost have a strict order to adhere to and they could lose their job if they don’t follow orders.
