it would depend on the particular job. If you are required to actively ‘sell’ to the customer – to talk to them, interact with them and advise on their choice of product, then it is sales. But if you are simply required to serve fast food for instance, that’s not sales, it’s customer services.

clothing is not in sales, it’s in the retail category
i don’t think grocery stores and fastfood would be there either. sales usually refers to in-bound sales over the telephone, like selling car warranties, life insurance, appliances, etc.
