GruHairy: If this is “God’s World” – How would YOU rate him as a landlord?
A. Excellent! He has built this world perfectly & any time anyone asks Him to “fix” something it gets done!
B. Good, but room for improvement. He obviously has had some “design flaws” and lack of planning here, and does not answer many of my calls to “fix things,” but at least he has left tools hidden around here, so that if I can figure out how to use them myself (no instructions here but that damn book of His, which is usually more trouble than help!) .. I can rig things to work, at least temporarily.
C. Poor. If I did not have it on such good authority that He had clear title, I would wonder if He really owned this world! No matter how many times we call, he almost NEVER helps in any concrete way – and His real estate “agents” are not much better. Constant battles everywhere about Title, with other gods who claim the same thing as He does, not much good gets done unless I do it myself.
D. Deadbeat Landlord. No more rent from me, I am taking over this property myself!

F – as a landlord, God refuses to accept responsibility for his property, allows other tenants to run amok and blames his subordinates for his failures.
No wonder God refuses to make his presence known, he has legal papers waiting for him when he does.

That’s not a fair question! Don’t make it look like God “fell down on the job”, the Bible clearly states that Satan will have dominion over the earth (during the 7 years of tribulation), but he also pretty much uses it now to do his bidding.Answer by saved22
none. God created this world perfectly, and WE (yes that’s right) WE messed it up. He fixes what He needs to and everything that happens (good or bad) happens for a good reason.Answer by Captain

What’s this business of not taking care of flooded cities? And the bugs! And how come there is no heat in the winter? Brrrrr.Answer by bradley
This is tricky. God created a perfect world. However, when Adam sinned, he was essentially asking to be separated form god. this is a taste of what it’s like to be away from God. It’s not complete separation, but only a taste. Because God allowed Adam a taste, it went from perfect to this place.
Before Adam sinned and let sorrow, pain, and death into he world, it was definitely an A. It was paradise. Modeled after God’s own home, which was perfect.
Now. with sin, death, pain, suffering, noisy neighbors who play the bagpipe all night, and wars, I’d rate it a B-. he answers calls, and owns this place, but Iran’s nukes, the aforementioned, idiots, and lots of other stuff keeps it from being a great place.

allah (swt) is beyond our senses. you and some of your friends think you’re very smart – don’t fool yourselves. you can’t even tell what’s on the other side of the wall and you dare go against the almighty, the most merciful. there will be a time when it will too late to fix yourselves – i urge you and all like you to think and come back to the real path, the truth. when you drive on highway and you see many signs but fail to obey the signs resulting in accident – whose fault is that? still got time – come to senses. allah (swt) has created this earth and everything in it for menkind only…Answer by nata

A Excellent. What do you suppose would happen if God turned off the lights – the sun, moon and stars because you did not pay your portion of the bill for them? How would you feel if He removed the plants, wateer supply and oxygen? Suppose the rivers flowed to a lake or pond instead of the sea? No tenant, no matter how rich can pay for the named benefits, mercy, compassion or grace. Think about it.Answer by laetusatheos

Heh, good question.
Reminds me of the Parable of the Tenants – the Landlord kept sending his messengers to the tenants in his vineyard, but they beat them, so eventually the landlord sent his son. And when the tenants saw him, they said ‘This is the heir, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
Even Jesus would suggest that God is an absentee landlord.
The issue isn’t Gods failure to fix things but our continuing ability to screw things up. Oh and by the way – the tenants Jesus was talking about were the religious folk!
