Why is Stanford University 4th place for top ten best universities/colleges? Why can’t it be 1st place?

why would you have to live in california to attend a university there? that wouldn’t make any sense. i live in alaska and i’m going to attend a university in boston. stanford is amazing because of it’s prestige, refined education system, and outstanding professors. however, it’s not first because obviously it lacks some of what harvard, yale, and princeton have.
