Raymond: Why is marriage so important for women? Why do many women see marriage as an achievement of life?
I’m not saying marriage is not important for men but, in general, I would dare say that women are more interested in getting married than men. Why are women so excited about getting married? Are they afraid of being single at an advanced age? Why is marriage a goal in life for many women?

todays society is about how many people you can sleep with. plus with everything in the world to do today who wants to settle down. im married, I know it seems like guys arent interested things can get in the way, but if you have some one you truly love hold on to them, cause nobody can ever be the same, after that person you’ll be just settling. Its a guess its a question of whats important in your life regardless of sex.

I have no idea. So many women are just stuck on that tradition: fall in love, get married, have kids, retire, etc. I hate that. There is nothing wrong with marriage but it is not a necessity to a relationship. I am a 20 year old female and I really don’t care if I get married. If it happens it happens if not than it’s all the same. If I find someone I love enough and they want to marry and I want to marry than sure. But if I find someone that I love and we don’t want to get married than we won’t. Marriage is great but it’s not all it’s made out to be. Too many people get married too early or at the wrong time in their life and end up unhappy and eventually divorced (for some) and than it’s a whole other complication. A lot of marriage is just a contract and saying that two people are together through words and a piece of paper. You can dedicate your whole life and love someone with all your heart without marriage just as you can with. I don’t know why some women and people in general make it so important.

so yeah all the girls who just answered are most likely young and will probally get married

so until your older like 60 and not married than you can talk down on mariage

Biologically speaking, it’s advantageous for a female to have a steady provider for her future offspring.

Culturally, some girls are caught in the fairytales they heard when growing up, and believe that until they have a prince, they are without worth.

Mostly, however, a woman loves a man and wants to be with him for always in an official and public way. Couples make families that make communities.

The Women of my religion (Catholicism) dont wanna get married “just because”.
They wanna get married so they can have a bond, a promise to be with eachother forever. Some want it to be known this man is mine please don’t touch him or flirt because we are together FOREVER.

Also you will be less likely to split if you are married rather than just being together for seven years or whatever.

And in Catholicism once you are married it is not a sin to have it and produce children.

But if you are unmarried it is a sin to have IT.
