: Why is it culturally acceptable to criticize Christianity and its followers but not Islam and Muslims?
If you criticize Christianity then you’re seen as a lazy liberal atheist who doesn’t know what they’re talking about. But if you criticize Islam then you’re seen as a bigot who probably belongs to the tea party and hates Obama.

Hey, I despise all religions.
I personally think Mohamad was a narcissist who engaged in pedophilia and had pleasure degarading women, hence the inequality of the two sexes in the Quran. I also think Islam is a backwards and tribal religion that promotes blood thirsty lines in the Quran, besides the “good”. I have been born in a Muslim family, but opted out of the religion because I do not see any value in Islamic teachings. I also find most Islamic countries poverty stricken and the women very deprived. America might have a hand but mostly it’s the backward thinking of the religion that degrades the human mind and indulges mythical teaching and fairytale like adopted theories. I want proof Allah exists, very clear and visible proof.

It isn’t right to criticize Christians. God says He will not be mocked, not to judge others. We are not qualified to judge others.Answer by …MO
May Allah forgive you. We’re never criticized. I wish we were. Islam is always slandered by the same folks who persecuted the Jews for centuries in Europe. Criticism is somebody, or something for something that is somewhat based on reality, whereas Islam is repeatedly slandered via out of context scriptures, and falsified facts. Besides, we, in Islam, don’t approve of mocking anybody:
“O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one’s] faith. And whoever does not repent – then it is those who are the wrongdoers” (Quran, 49:11).
“O you who have believed, if there comes to you a bad person with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful” (Quran: 49:06).
“And the servants of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and when the ignorant address them (with bad words) they reply back with gentleness (peace) (Quran: 25:63).Answer by Wisdom
