: Why is David Cameron trying to act big and lead the role on Libya ?
In the UK’s current situation of military cuts to their already tiny little army and economic issues and debt, why is Cameron (pm of UK) trying to act big and lead an assault on Libya ? Hasnt he learned from Iraq+Afghanistan ?

David Cameron is more courageous, pugnacious, energetic than the United States’ “Spectator-in-Chief”. Somebody had to take the lead. Obama has proved to the world that we no longer can help out those who need us.
Sometimes the little guy can accomplish much… for such a time as this!

Probably because Obama asked him to appear as if he is leading the charge with Sarcozy instead of the U.S. looking like the villain. It is all appearances and bowing down to American dictates again. I am sure Obama did not cancel his Brazil trip to make it appear as if the U.S. is not in charge of this operation.
Why did Libyans suddenly rebel against Quadaffi after 40 years? How did the guerrillas get weapons to use against Quadaffi’s forces?
This operation looks like an attack, not just defending a no-fly zone. It is Iraq all over again.
