digifruitella: Why do you lose appetite when you “fall in love”?
I’ve noticed this happen to me, and I’ve read and heard before that this happens universally. When you “fall in love” with someone and you keep thinking about that person, you suddenly lose appetite. The same thing happened to me about a week ago, I was at a buffet with some people, and there was a girl there that sat across me, from the first sight of her, I had ‘fallen in love’ i can’t put it in any other words, but simply I just liked her from the start. We talked, and I was a little anxious, a tad shy – and the things I had on my plate, I didn’t even finish.
My first OWN answer to this is a chemical imbalance? but let’s see what the proper answer is, hopefully someone knows?

you’re right
I guess it’s because you’re focused on that person, and food just seems like something comforting..but you have something else to comfort you..them

yah!! your own opinion is right. mind and body had a connection.Answer by help please!
It’s because when you’re “in lust” it’s an overproduction of seratonin and dophamine (spelling!) in your brain, and at the later stages oxytocin, as well. Those chemicals shut off the part of your brain that tell you that you are hungry. They work kind of as a stimulant, as well, which is the whole ‘can’t sleep’ thing of it. Adderall does the same thing! lol and it’s also the parts of your brain that you get OCD from, which is why you obsess over people!
