It likely got edited, again.
Sounds like the censors are at it again! Before you know it, they will re-write it for themselves and make you believe it all was original from biblical times.
If they leave things out, then go out and get a real Bible and read everything they left out, because they don’t want you to know about it.
Power and Control, just remember – Power and Control.
That is what religion is all about.

Hey, there is no law that says that Jesus can’t retract a chapter or a book. He is allowed to censor it anyway he wants as he is the ghost writer. Don’t get caught with a bootleg copy of the previous version as you could wind up in hell.Answer by Rolling Stone
Which parts are missing?
You might want to view the Bible that Catholics use. The one I saw had books in it that the majority of Bibles don’t have, View the Catholic Bible and see if it corresponds to what you are talking about.Answer by Ginger Bread Boy

I find that all religious texts omit this part…
“Oh, grandmother, what big ears you have!”
“The better to hear you with”.
“Oh, grandmother, what big eyes you have!”
“The better to see you with”.
“Oh, grandmother, what big hands you have!”
“The better to grab you with”.
“But, grandmother, what a dreadful big mouth you have!”
“The better to eat you with”.
I take it you grew up in a Catholic or Orthodox church where they included books that are called Apocrypha. Books like additions to Daniel, Tobit, Macabees etc are excluded from protestant bilbes. Baptist churches are protestant.Answer by Cindy
You probably grew up with a Catholic version of the bible, which would contain the Septuagint. It’s got nothing to do with different parts of the world. Most bibles printed for the protestant church will not have the Septuagint, but you can get them with — you just have to pay attention when you’re shopping.Answer by javadic
You probably grew up Catholic. The Catholic Bible has more books in it than the Protestant Bible. It’s the result of schisms in church history.Answer by otter_park
Well, couple of reasons come to mind:
1) You might have grown up with a Bible that also included the Books of the Apocrypha- which is not a traditionally recognized canon of the Protestant faiths.
2) Possible the church you’re at carries some New Testaments or Old Testaments separate?
Could it be possible that the Bible with more books was a Catholic one? The Catholic Bible contains extra books that are collectively called The Apocrypha, and they are omitted from many Protestant editions of the Bible.Answer by maranatha
Catholic Bible has extra 5 books. I am not sure of their names. Some Maccabies..etc..
But as they 5 of them don’t have any spiritual but only some incidents explained. So the Bible Scholars came to an agreement later to exclude it. But because of that there is no change in the doctrines.
Let us live for the doctrines which we read daily, than for thinking of the missing chapters.Answer by kylie
I am an independent baptist and we use the kjv. You should ask your pastor which bible he uses.Answer by novangelis
Martin Luther removed several books from the main canon of the Bible, but many Bibles still contain the Apocrypha as a separate section. You encountered a version that doesn’t, even though they were present in the original King James Version. Puritan theologians removed them.Answer by Central N.Y. Guy
You’d have to tell me the bible you’re comparing for me to comment. I know Catholics use a bible with a lot more added books than to baptist who use the old king james with only 66 books.Answer by peetr
Yea, I miss the naked pictures and the cartoons. So I just added my own to the margins. You could do something like that. Just write in stuff in the margins.Answer by ratcord
well they have destroyed part of a copy of gods word, i would be buying a new up to date bible and keep away from that church
with a new bible with the latest correct translation as scholars can make it then you will have the truth, the one i use is the latest see reference at least your willing to ask and then learn, some things you will have to unlearn or discard if you wish to become right with godAnswer by Web Head
Did you used to use the catholic bible? it has 11 more books than the King James.
You won’t miss them though. They have the same bull as the other 66 books.
