Why do some movies take longer to download than others on Apple TV?

J: Why do some movies take longer to download than others on Apple TV?
In regards to renting, we always rent HD. Sometimes the movies fully download within about 30 minutes, sometimes it takes about an hour but you can start the movie in the mean time and sometimes it takes 2 hours (!) without letting you start the movie. What causes the download to take so long?

Maybe it’s the size of the movie or the speed of your internet.
