Luís Santos: Why do religions have to rely on the Media to capture the souls of the people?
It seems to me that religions need the people more than the people need religion? And I thought that faith was a spontaneous thing, needed not to be advertised.
Obviously I was very wrong, for religions have become a business like many others.
Thanks for your unbiased answer.

There was religion before there was media. It’s just more efficient now.
All religions need converts. But it does seem western religions are more outward oriented and eastern religions are more inward oriented.Answer by Nun
By any means necessary. Chrisitans are here today to spread the message that Jesus saves souls. He does not want anyone to die but they will if they do not repent. The further and faster we can spread his word the better.Answer by Drew
Religions need people more than people need religions.
If left to their own devices in the modern world (IE, not indoctrinated at a young age), given a proper education, most people see religion as… insane.
Answer by Jesus did this for youYou mean the televangelists spouting “health, wealth, and prosperity” and motivational speaking instead of Jesus’s blood, death, and resurrection? It used to be that everything religious on tv shows was Catholicism. Now it’s Zen/Buddhist, cult, or a mockery of Christianity.Answer by Fortunata’s Wisdom ©™
The state, media and Church are symbolic of the evil trinity of power. The media ingratiated itself to those it acclaimed and set upon the route to power. These belligerent minions thereafter feel beholden, having no other merit than being endorsed by a media, empowering those ambitious, unprincipled and needy persons whom it can control. The ancient quid pro quo system. Hence the lacklustre candidates offered by it for the most powerful role and figurehead in the world. The government gave media new found powers, whereby it no longer fears libel suits from prominent persons for defamation and character assassinations. This backfired onto the government, whereby its own candidates are exposed to sensationalist propaganda campaigns should it speak against feminist, sexual degenerates, or terrorists who have now assumed an almost celestial magnitude. This in turn exonerates the domestic subversive who gain power each time the populace are bowed to the deviant debased of society, all of course in the name of tolerance.
All enjoy these exceptional rights and liberties excepting any religious man of principles and honour, who are lambasted and destroyed by any means, usually and often illicit meanderings with muses who always thereafter sell their story to an all too eager media engineering the entire plot start to finish. The only political or religious candidate in the show are so extreme as to be negated or amenable to all voices as to be totally untrustworthy, both extremes equally incompetent and unworkable. The church is virtually defunct and merely a prosthesis of its former power and standing. The state are monkeys to a media organ grinder with no other agenda than sensationalist scandal, appealing to the lust and anger of the populace at the expense of social stability purely for titillation. The media is a monster demagogue uncontrolled and thoroughly spoilt, none can oppose it for its billions, nay trillions buys our all protesters sometimes for a paltry pittance, if the muses haven’t been able to dislodge any man seeking to restore order on patriotic fashion to his nation. It is thereby driven by the very sins natures of ambition, lust, anger and greed that it opines to be against.
The bankers wield power and authority but there house was cast into so much chaos and confusion as to assume the status of a debacle. Politics is an unethical business at its best, media is a far greater enemy of the state, religion, people and God. Maintaining power by misleading and creating mayhem and disruption to all who seek to tackle its power, the modern day equivalent of the prostitute, that duplicitous praise singer of all, and loyal to none but its belly and ambition. On an optimistic note shall we seek to create a Hero of such honour, virtue and morality and observe the obstacles impeding his path, now that would truly be people power …
