myboydevean: Who agrees that baseball is the only sport that home field advantage matters?
Yes I know about crowds and everything, but in baseball the home team is given a chance to win if they score first or are given a chance to win if they fall behind in extra innings. Do you agree?

I don’t think that the home field advantage in Baseball has anything to do with the fact that they bat last – each team gets the same number of at bats. But baseball is unique in the fact that each field is different – not only in dimensions, but in the length of the grass, the way the wind swirls, the way that sun and shadows play on the field, etc. That is where teams can take advantage of being at home.
While I think that home field advantage exists in other sports, it exists more due to either weather conditions (in the case of football) or crowd noise.Answer by mister ed
