Which accommodation should I go for at Southampton University?

: Which accommodation should I go for at Southampton University?
I have put Southampton as my first choice and am now deciding which accommodation to chose. I would like an en suite room which is self-catered, which one would you recommend? Also, I received no information on when to apply for accommodation and only found out today after emailing the university that application has already began, is this my fault that I didn’t contact them, or should they have contacted me? Lastly will this affect my chance of getting my preferred accommodation? Help would be much appreciated as I am starting to worry about this!

Worry will not solve anything. Visit the school if you can and look at the accommodations and speak to the dorm residents.. Make your choice as quickly as possible./
