metaldog: When will golf courses be made illegal throughout the world?
It’s well established now both that global warming is a very real international crisis akin to the threat of nuclear holocaust in its end result, and the threat is increasing with every day, and every plane taken by every traveller, and every car taken down the road. .. and every golf course that uses water that spreads fertilizer and pesticide around the near countryside, when the land could be returned to native trees for more oxygen for us all, and for birds to in turn help promote growth of more trees elsewhere.
People travel across the world just to see ‘beautiful nature’ and go hiking amongst the trees in New Zealand – more than the number of people who go there to play golf – so for local tourist opportunities in other countries too, it makes sense to plant more trees, and reduce, reuse and recycle old golf courses.
Save the world! Reclaim your local golf course for nature, the birds, the trees, and oxygen for you and your grandchildren to breath, now!

They are working with Nature and using chemicals that are planet safe and animal safe. You really need to do your homework before spurting off about golf coursesAnswer by fwf43
Guess you will also have to get rid of all the farms. They clear land in order to produce food, and use pesticides to protect the crop. Also, kill all the cows and pigs that produce methane gas that is harmful to the ozone. Then destroy all the dams that control the rivers and also produce electric power. then close down all the oil and gas rigs to prevent spills. Stop all mining activities, and wood production. Then houses cant be built. Now you have no food, no power, and no housing, but you have nature.Answer by Donna
Wow! Never thought of that before. Have you ever been on a golf course? Don’t think I’m a golfing guru or anything, but a golf course is truly Eco friendly.
There are trees albeit strategically placed and clustered. The ‘green’ is low maintenance for cost effectiveness because a golf course is a business and they, too, have to profit.
The watering is timed so players aren’t soaked at play time. Although, it would be fun to watch if it slipped up now and then. 😉
Nature is semi-controlled. You can’t regulate when or where a bird is going to relieve them self.
Personally, I am offended that I have to know someone that knows someone to be considered for membership and can only enjoy the course from the outside of the fence.Answer by sensible_man
Thats quite a rant for someone who has no idea of what they are talking about. There are far too many more things that disturb nature than golf courses. Lets start by tearing down your house because it took trees to build it and tons of energy and pollutants to maintain it with your heating/cooling products.. Crush your car because of emissions. Lots more I could mention but hope you get the idea.
