When did you start buying things for your baby?

Just curious as to when you started buying things for your baby, such as the crib and the nursery items. Not things like clothing (I’ve already bought a couple of outfits, etc.)

We bought most of our stuff around 34 weeks, we just bought a changing table this last weekend, and we’re getting the swing this coming weekend.

i bought my crib when i was about 27 weeks im not buying anything else until after my shower

We started buying things once we knew what the sex was for the most part…but we always kept an eye out on deals and if we found a really good deal on a baby item earlier we’d buy it. But only after the 3 month mark~ We’re 5 months now and starting to shop around again for everything we need

right away lol. i was overly excited and i couldnt wait to get the nursery ready. i bought all the cribs, changing table, dresser, rocking chair etc right away in a dark wood finish, then i waited till i new the sex of the baby before i started buying bedding and such. a friend of mine bought all ofher things right away too and bought the bedding right away but she had decided that she was going to do a zoo animal theme either way…so her nursery was pretty much ready before she even knew what she was having.

Well I’m only 19 weeks and I feel like he has almost as much clothes as I do. (I’ve recently moved from out of state so I won’t really have the luxury of getting things from a baby shower since I don’t know a lot of people here) I’ve already bought the crib, so now I just need the mattress and bedding. My mom is coming into town in May around my 28th week, and that’s when I plan on shopping with her to get the other major things. Car seat and stroller, swing, bouncer, and hopefully a glider to put in his nursery. Everything else (burp cloths,wipes, diapers, diaper genie, blankets, socks etc) I will be waiting until the last few weeks to get. 🙂
