I am getting ready to fly with Allegiant Airlines next month. Their policy is that when you are seated the armrest must be able to come down. Their website claims only half of one percent of their customers have to purchase a second seat. Check your airlines websites for their specifics. Hope this helps!
It’s not a weight number, but if they can sit in the seat without taking up any of the seat next to them.
