Harry Fella: What’s the cheapest form of accommodation in the US for 3 months?
I’m planning on heading over there from australia for 3 months or so in 2012 to visit a friend who lives in Denver CO, we might then go to another state for a short amount of time towards the end or something. What are some good ideas for accommodation for the three months, and how much would they be?

Answer by MountainManSince you do not discribe your comfort needs, I recommend the National Forest campgrounds, usually $ 5-$ 10 per night with pit toilets and no running water, or dispersed camping and hiking in the designated wilderness areas, which is free. Legal camping on public lands extends 14 days. If during our winter, apply for a bit of work with a ski resort if you can obtain a work visa in Colorado. Employee housing is about $ 450 per month if you can get here before the late November housing crunch.
