My kitchen only has two hobs, a microwave and a sink.
I have some Spam I want to cook.
Hob: That thing that you turn the dial on, and there’s this round thing, and because of the dial being turned to an on setting the round thing, being the hob, becomes hot.

I put pans on the hob.

As for cooking SPAM in your microwave that depends on what you’re going for..

I lay three paper towels (or a clean dishrag in a pinch) on a plate, cut my Spam into thin slices, and zap. As soon as my Spam is sizzling a bit I remove it from my microwave and let it sit for a minute to allow the fat to drain. Done!

My Korean Neighbor in Hawai taught me ths one,,,,
1.5 cups light soy sauce
1-5 cups water
1.5 cups honey

cut spam in 3/4 inch slices bring all to a boil
simmer for 20 mins
remove from what little fluids left
enjoy

Spam fritters can be done on the hob.Make a thick batter and dip slices into it, and shallow fry them.
