Joe Johnson: What would happen if someone were caught underage in a casino?
I myself am well above the legal age but I am just curious. If an 18 year old were to gamble in a casino where the legal age is 19 and makes a profit. But the casino asks for ID, the kid doesn’t have ID because he says he doesn’t bring his wallet to casinos so he doesn’t lose more money than he wants, does the casino have the legal write to take back your winnings even though they have no proof you are underage?

Probably.
Of course, different laws in different places, there are casinos all over the world.
You have to prove you are of age, not the other way around. Otherwse, why wouldn’t every one underage simply not bring a wallet.
Answer by footflash1You are on private property, so I imagine if they think you are underage they would call the cops and let them deal with it. Yes, you would lose your “profit”.Answer by Vegas Matt
I’m sure it depends on the laws in your country. The only casinos I know of that require a person to be 19 are in Canada, and I don’t know the laws in Canada.
In the US, it is your responsibility to prove you are of age to gamble if asked. If you cannot, the casino may give you the option of returning the money and promising you’ll never come back, or they’ll call the police and let them handle it. The police would give you the opportunity to produce ID, but if you do not, they could take you into custody until they could verify who you were.
Assuming the person is in fact underage, the end result either way would be the money being returned to the casino. You cannot legally keep earnings from an illegal act.
Answer by tony tif you look under 35, you are gonna get carded before you ever get the chance to gamble. if by chance you do make it in and win, then get caught, you will keep you winnings, then you go to jail, where the police will confiscate your winnings. casinos take underage gambling very seriously and will prosecute to the full extent of the law.
