No one really knows the first restaurant in America (although I heard it was a Taco Bell…ha ha), but here is some interesting info:

Union Oyster House is not only Boston’s oldest restaurant, it’s the oldest continuously operating restaurant in the United States.

The first answer you received didn’t read the question correctly otherwise they would’nt have told you about France, hopefully the first restaurant was by the Pilgrems when they invited the indians to a bring your own for the first thanksgiving
