Savannah: What types of things would you consider ending a 7 year friendship over?
I mean, you don’t need to state obvious things like drug addiction, your friend having an affair with your spouse etc. But what are some other reasons you’d end a friendship? I’m trying to see if I’m being unreasonable. Thanks so much!

You shouldn’t think you’re over reacting. It’s your choice to not be someone’s friend. If you’re tired of this certain person, or even have a personal problem with this person, YOU have the right to say bye-bye. Lol. Don’t feel bad about it. They’d do the same.
Answer by Paul-MarcChronic selfishness and self-centredness could do it as well. A true, healthy friendship needs to be balanced, with a fairly equitable give and take. Some people take a lot, without giving much. Over time, that can gradually erode and ultimately kill a friendship.Answer by Hainure
1. Marriage and/or your kids would do the trick.
2. Pursuing a career.
3. Out growing them(some people might not be able to grow as fast or as slow as you.)
4. Dating them and things doesn’t work out.
5. Something that was said.
That’s all i could think of right now.
Answer by suicidal.catsNothing really, I mean there’s always room fir forgiveness and they say arguements make relationships with people stronger. I understand if the friend has done something that you extremely dislike and you feel they may have gone overboard,, and if they have (but only if the matter is extreme) then you could forgive them and then tell them the friendship is over and simply stay away from them,, atleast then they won’t be left to live guiltridden. (Blame the sin not the sinner)
My best friend and I have known each other since we were four/five and we’re still going good now, yeah we’ve had a couple of arguements in between now and then, but it can all get fixed in the end.
