: What type of makeup brushes are good for dry skin?
I find that when i use certain makeup brushes, it makes my skin dryer?
Like when i use the typical foundation brush, it makes my makeup look kind of cakey and it looks like i have dry spots. So i just use a makeup wedge but i hate having to continuously buy new ones since you have to toss em after every use. Any help? Thanks!

Use real brushes, not synthetic.
Synthetic are fake brissels apposed to real ones. You can tell the difference synthetic looks a tad shiny, and fake. And real brushes are soft and look real.
Use the MAC 187 DUO FIBRE BRUSH……I have super duper dry skin and I know exactly what your talking about….I used to use a cheap synthetic brush that was really dense and that’s exactly what happened….then I switched to the MAC 187 and now everythings even and pretty…its a really light ”feathery” brush AND I LOVE IT!!!!!Answer by Beatles

Wedges= bad
Make-up wedges soak up TONS of foundation, i really suggest you don’t use them. Although if you have to, a way to make sure you don’t use up all of your foundation on one wedge is you soak the wedge with water and squeeze the water out so the water takes up the place where the unnecessary foundation would have. If you like sponges though and they seem to give you the best finish, you should try a beauty blender. Their like a sponge but dont soak up your foundation, are re-usable and give off a much better finish than a sponge. I’ve heard great things about the. Try using a duo brush so your face looks better. YOu might not be blending right with the foundation brush. After i use the foundation brush i use a wedge to go around and smooth away any lines and cakyness that my brush left behind.
