Max: What type of criminal background report must I submit for Canadian citizenship US federal or Florida state?
I am a US citizen and my fiancee is dual Canadian/US. She’s looking to sponsor me for Canadian in addition to my US citizenship. I’m told I must submit, my final divorce decree, a physical health report and a criminal report. It’s the last document that I’m not certain about. I am a resident of Florida and need to know specifically what type of report – FBI criminal background or Fla.Dept of Law Enforcement criminal background report or something else?

I think you should ask who ever wants this information to explain it more clearly. maybe you could ask a friend?
Your application to emigrate to Canada will have included what type of criminal records check is required. If you do not know, contact the embassy.Answer by buckeye_12207
My guess would be, if you have any criminal record at any level, you need to tell about it. buckeyeAnswer by La Mojarra
FBI criminal background Check; it will show anything that you may have done at any time.

You absolutely MUST get the FBI police check.
CIC may or may not ask for the state police (florida) checks if they need them. Some people get asked for them, and some people do not get asked so you never know.
also if you have lived in more than 1 state after your 18th birthday, you may be asked to get police checks from all those states you lived in after you turned 18 – including when you went away to college.
