Nicole Ohora: What type of clothing is appropriate for a physical therapy internship?
I am beginning an internship at a local physical therapy clinic next week in preparation to become a PTA. What type of clothing will be seen as professional, but still practical for this type of setting? Most PTs and PTAs I have observed wear business casual clothing (like polos, khaki pants, and either practical dress shoes or athletic shoes). Any suggestions? I want to be taken seriously but dont want to look like I am dressed too nicely to do anything besides observe!

Wear the style that is worn where you will work. Also, I’ve seen places where scrubs are worn.
Polo shirt and khakis is good at most places. Some have uniform Polo shirts. I’d go by before you start and scope it out.Answer by Mary
I would ask but generally, khaki type pants and a nice modest sweater or shirt is fine.
