Jake B: What type of careers are there for a degree in Sociology and which is the best paying?
I’m majoring in Sociology and planning to attend Law school once I earn my degree but I was wondering what type of careers are there for people who earn sociology degrees in case I need something to fall back on if law school doesn’t pan out and I was wondering which are the best paying too.

Employers assume Sociology grads are indoctrinated with left/lib baloney, so they’re shunned for real jobs. Telemarketing is probably the best career prospect for Sociology grads.
You have zilch opportunities other than generic ‘4 year college degree required’ type of jobs; usually sales floor positions, job estimators, insurance agents, civil service positions, etc, and even those positions might be hard to get if you don’t have any kind of work experience or internships under your belt once you graduate (hopefully you did at least one internship, somewhere?). In that case you will need to swallow all your pride by looking at your entire college years and realize it was indeed a waste of time and money, resulting you being back to square 1 from the day you graduated HS, except now you have a ton of debt to repay. So, send out applications to positions requiring only a HS diploma, such as food service work, bartending, cashier, custodial, etc — but once again, you’ll be setback as even someone with a HS diploma but has some experience will be hired before you. Bottom line is you’ll need to scramble by sending out dozens upon dozens of applications to a variety of positions ranging from a telemarketer to a warehouse laborer and cross your fingers hoping someone will call you in for an interview.
This is why a good many social science majors (and sociology is unfortunately at the bottom of the list by an order of magnitude) go to grad school of some sort to better their opportunities. Many also just go to a community college vocational tech program so they can get training in a real career field that pays relatively well.
