Put cheerleading under sports!!!: What tips can you give me for photography?
I am a twelve, nearly thirteen, year old girl who is VERY interested in photography. I love capturing nature. I think that beautiful is just a word and there is no true meaning behind it. I believe that every thing can be beautiful if it is pictured the correct way, so if there are any tips for me to improve my photography please let me know!

AND
take images when you can. Look at photos when you can and enjoy life fully. Your joy in photography will keep going.
If you happen to find a copy of Basic Photography by M Langford
(one of the later additions with color images) will do you well for a lot more info.
Practice and keep practicing, read a few books (#1 being your owner’s manual) and look at other’s work to see what they do and either do as good or better or take up another hobby.Answer by FotoZ 4 FX
If beautiful is just a word as you say, why did you use that word?
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder… an old saying that is true.
Tip: Challenge your abilities, don’t just snap the shutter but rather think of the possibilities in every image you stop to make.
Make pictures, don’t take them.

Good beginner’s link:
Use a tripod.
Look at lots of good images in magazines. For nature, National Geographic and Outdoor Photographer come to mind as great resources. Study them for lighting and composition. Think about what you are trying to capture.
Learn how your camera controls work and what they do to affect your image. Learn how to build your exposure and shoot manually.
Join a class or local club for mentoring and feedback that is reliable. Y!A is not the best place to get realistic or helpful critique.
Keep learning and shooting and enjoy!
