I’m planning on buying a book called What Color Is You Parachute for Teenagers but until then does anyone have any tips from personal experience?

what a good question!

stay off drugs. do your homework. get into a good college. work hard. forget about what is cool. don’t have sex, but if you do ALWAYS use condoms.

Education does matter in life. The more specialized expertise you have, the more marketable you become, the more financial opportunities you get.

Opportunity is very important. First, learn to recognize opportunity. Then, learn to sieze opportunities. Finally, learn to create opportunities.

No matter how badly you mess up, people will judge you by how well you recover. So, an important success trait is humility.

Build a network of reliable people that will work for you or do you favors. You must reciprocate. Successful people know how to create organizations and leverage the skills of others.

I once had a teacher who did a on street experience. One group of us were allowed to dress any way we wanted. We had prepared employment papers a few days before. in class as to be more equel in that area. The second group took more care in their appearance. I dont remember the exact breck down BUT the group of neater students got many more interviews then other group, some even that day. SO a little preperation pays off. Good Luck, mamatx
