Ahhh, who really cares….the fact that you are making her dinner should be special enough – but if she loves steak go for that!
(I don’t allow my hubby to cook – he did it once 15 years ago and I haven’t forgotten the taste yet)

Answer by The AntiChristDude…anything with candles, soft music, and a bottle of wine. Believe me, she won’t really care what’s on the plate.
(Maybe Beef Stroganoff.)
Answer by theoutlawmtomsikHey go out in the back yard if it is a warm night there, put a table with two candles a glass of wine if you drink, if not a wine glass full of colored kool-aide works, set the table just like a dinner would,
Make her favorite meal and serve it to her under the stars and moon if the night is good!

TRADITIONAL ENGLISH ROAST BEEF.
Piece of standing rib or sirloin
Beef dripping or lard
Potatoes & parsnips
Salt & pepper
Meat must be marbled or wrapped in a layer of fat. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Place meat, fat side up, in a shallow roaster (on a rack if available). Season meat and spread with fat. Roast a 450 degree oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350-375 degrees. Cook for 20 minutes per pound plus 20 minutes. Baste every 20-25 minutes. Do not add water. Peel potatoes and parsnips and cut into large chunks (allow 2 pieces of each per person).
About 1 hour and 15 minutes before meat is done, add chunks to the fat in the roaster and coat well. If desired, fat can be drained off into another roaster and the vegetables cooked separately. Cook with meat. Turn every 25-30 minutes. When done, remove meat and vegetables, drain off fat and make gravy with the meat residue in the bottom of the roaster.
if it’s in steak form, grill it medium rare and make a wine/mushroom sauce/ gravy over the top, make sure you present it by slicing it on the bias and drizzle the sauce over it; a dark red drinking wine is best for the gravy……….. use the drippings or beef boullion for the base of the sauce! OH ya and roasted red potatos with it………… or some steamed greens; either aspargus or broccoli. Garlic bread with it is good!
If it’s ground beef make spaghetti! that’s always romantical! Don’t forget to use real garlic for flavor and top with grated parm chz and chopped up italian parsley!
ur making me hungery talking bout all this! GOOD LUCK!Answer by me

Try this recipe:
Caterer’s Beef Vegetable Soup
1 cup carrots chopped
3/4 cup celery chopped
3/4 cup onion chopped
3 cloves garlic chopped
4 cups beef broth
1 beef bouillon cube
2-15 oz. cans tomatoes with juice diced
1/2 tsp. black pepper
3 tsp. parsley dried
1-15 oz. can pinto beans drained
1 tbsp. tomato paste
1 cup cooked noodles
cooked roast beef in small chunks
Saute carrots, celery, onions and garlic on medium heat for 8
minutes. Add beef broth- also dissolve a beef bouillon cube in
1/2 cup beef broth. Add 2 cans tomatoes. Add pepper and parsley.
Put 1 can of pinto beans in small food processor until smooth.
Add this to soup. Bring to a boil then simmer soup until
vegetables are tender- about 30 minutes. Stir in tomato paste
and cook another 10 minutes. Add roast beef and noodles and cook
another 10 minutes. Add another 1 tsp. dried parsley and stir and
serve.

POOR MAN’S SWISS STEAK
Mix: 1 lb. hamburger
1 cup cornflakes
salt & pepper to taste
small amount dices onion
Spread in a square baking pan.
Pour: 1 can mushroom soup
1 can water
(combine together, first)
Pour over meat mixture.
Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
POT ROAST
Your choice of beef (to fit crock-pot)
1 pkg. dry Ranch dressing mix
1 pkg. dry Italian dressing mix
1 pkg. dry Brown Gravy mix
1 cup water
Put beef in pot.
Mix together all the dry mixes….then add water …pour over meat and cover & cook on high 4-6 hours.
Until meat is tender.
The first time I mad it I didn’t have the Italian Dressing mix….so I added a pkg. of Onion Soup Mix….I have to say I liked that better.
If you use more water you might want to add more Brown Gravy mix….to make a thicker sauce. Was gonna add potatoes and carrots…but never got around to it.
Try this recipe with beef…ribs…or stew meat….serve with rice.
COLA CHICKEN
(This is my favorite way of fixing chicken wings……and ribs.)
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1 cup catsup
1 12oz. can cola (pepsi, coke, etc.)
Put chicken in a non-stick pan. Mix together catsup and cola, pour over chicken.
Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and cook 45 minutes.
(turning chicken a few times, while cooking…to prevent from
sticking to pan)
Uncover, turn up the heat and continue to cook until the sauce becomes
thick and adheres to the chicken.
It turns into the most incredible BBQ sauce. Yummmm!
You can double the recipe and use more pieces of
chicken….wings…would be ideal…add some hot sauce….presto “Hot
Wings”! Not tried this, yet.
I have used Ribs, just as good.
Fixed chicken wings, (using the above recipe) but…I
added the spices from a MILD (I don’t care for “HOT”) Buffalo
Wings packet…(the kind you get to bake in the oven)…..I thought it
was really good…..(but you/I can’t find a ‘bad’ way to fix chicken).
