There is nothing you can do. You could have it removed. It leaves a scar and it costs a lot of money. Other than that don’t let the child go to Mexico with you.
Ground her for life! I would be so mad, that girl wouldn’t be going anywhere without me. That proves that she can’t be trusted!!!Answer by Paris
With something like this, she is best to be punished in the long run by hating it down the line when she’s older.

Okay pink, you’re going to take a fifteen-year-old child to get a painful laser removal? You realize even at fifteen they can’t preform something like that without her consent?
Answer by pink_giraffesI would ground her, 100%. You need to show her that she did something stupid and went against your basic values. I would also take her to have it removed.Answer by mariasonawire
Sounds like the girl went with her mother and you are the father? 15 is too young but I would be asking the same question! Do you punish her for a decision her mother made? Kind of difficult. Hopefully your disappointment and disapproval will be punishment enough? Not much you can do about the mom either. Very ignorant. As the girl grows, that tattoo will become distorted. You can tell her that no one should get a tattoo until they have completely finished growing, 19-25. Maybe her next growth spurt will result in punishment enough when she sees her tattoo become stretched and mushy!Answer by Pearl L
its just a tattoo , she couldve done worseAnswer by Paul
do you have a tattoo ? because you should not b hypocritical if you wish for a punishment make them clean but you should make sure they are not left alone with the adult they went to Mexico with you should make have made sure that the chaperon was more responsible before allowing your child to go to Mexico with themAnswer by Isis Grace
There’s nothing she can do. It’s there, it’s permanent, deal with it.Answer by seraphim_pwns_u
If it were me, I’d ground her for not telling me she wanted one in the first place. I would have rather had her get the tattoo here in the U.S. where I know tattoo artists are licensed and run hygienic and sanitary businesses, as opposed to in Mexico, where I don’t know what the laws are for it are there.
That being said, I’d take her to the doctor and have her checked for any sort of diseases that may have been transmitted from the tattooing process.
Afterward, I would have a long chat with her about trust, compromise, and ground rules. I would rather bend a little to her want of a tattoo, than bend a lot because she did not trust me enough to talk to me about it and wound up getting a disease like hepatitis or HIV. Finally, I would ground her from all activities beyond researching tattooing, until she gave me a 10-page written report on it, including techniques, history, trends, safety, care, and the negative connotations associated with them of gangs, bikers, and the yakuza.
But that’s just me. What would you do? That’s really for you to decide.
Answer by answersDoes she know how dangerous this is?
She can’t have it removed yet, its too much pain and too horrific for a 15 year old!
Ground her, take away her cell phone, her computer (if she has her own), Where is the permanent tattoo? if its in come place noticeable cover it up, with make-up, No dessert, No Phone whats so ever (even land-line), No Email, No Facebook or Myspace, Have her write a 5 page paper on why tattoos are dangerous, Illegal for minors, Etc And give her a LONG talk about what she did! Have her get on the phone with her father, Her Aunts and uncles, Grandma and grandpa and tell them what she did!
After this I doubt she will get a tattoo again!
I know its a long list but treating the punishment as a simple grounding and no phone or email…well then the tattoo comes like everything else and she might go again knowing that her normal is the only price she will have to pay for her actions!
