Stalana: What sexual questions does the doctor ask during a physical?
I’m 14 and a female and want to do sports in high school so I know I’m going to have to get a physical. I had oral once and I was wondering if they ask any sexual questions like that and if you have to say yes even though it was just oral. Also does the doctor keep it confidential from my parents or do they tell them about it.

they’ll ask you if your sexually active.for oral you can say your not.and if you do they wont tell your parents
The doctor will only ask you if you’ve been sexually active. And as far this goes I believe you’re safe to say you have not had sex. I don’t care what old people say, oral doesn’t count as “losing your virginity” or anything :] And yes, everything you say will be confidential. THe doctor will not tell your mom you have had sex, if you had.Answer by Live4Fashion
Oral doesn’t count as actually losing your virginity. My doctor only asked me if I was having any breast pain, and if I was worried about anything going on with my body. I suppose most doctors will ask if you have been sexually active and most doctors will not tell your parents if you ask them to keep it confidential or if they assume your parents already know.

there is definitely a patient-doctor confidentiality so whatever you want to stay between you and the doctor can. my doctor asks if im sexually active and if yes they ask how long if not they don’t ask any further questions.Answer by Mia J
They will ask if you are sexually active, but they do not ask you specifics of what you are doing. If you prefer you can say what you are doing, but it’s not a must. If you are having vaginal sex that is important because they will want to check you for diseases and make sure that you are being safe. You should always be honest with your doctor for your own protection, but if you ask you can have them keep your information confidential. Since you are under 16 your parents can talk to your doctor, but as long as you are being safe they most likely won’t say anting especially if you ask them not to.Answer by Tomb Raider
The Dr. has no reason to ask you any sexual questions unless your going in for a pap smear that happens to turn out bad.Yes information will be kept in the strictest confidence.
