I am a muslim, and i am trying to get married. I am aware that a non-muslim father cannot be the wali of a muslim daughter, but since he is her mahram, what roles can he play?

search if u have uncle muslim to be ur wali if u do not have then any mosque Imam will be ur wali

u should ask imam about this , in the nearest mosque ,

and if ur father is colobrative with u, i see he has big role, he would welcom the groom or his family with u and u can give him just a picture position out of respect , even if he is not ur wali as u said , thats is if ur father agrees to do that
