The Wretch the song refers to.: What religion is it where you cannot touch the serving silverware tot he plate?
My sister told me that there is some religion that if the serving silverware touches your plate then you aren’t allowed to eat. Is that true? If it is, then what religion is it?

Never heard of that; I can at least tell you that it’s not Judaism.

I’m with Tripageous, below; it sounds more like manners and common courtesy; I really wouldn’t want to use serving pieces that have come into contact with someone else’s used plate.

That sounds more like customary manners than religion. What does that have to do with morality and the divine? I never heard of that.
