What religion goes the most by the bible? What religion teaches you the most about the bible contents and it’s teachings? Also, in the most simplest terms possible, what are the differences between a catholic and a christian? What religions use rosarys and how are they used exactly?

I am not going to make any sweeping generalizations. Both groups approach the bible differently. Christians don’t have a pope. Christians do not pray to visions of saints. Christians do not have to tithe. Christians don’t have to follow special regulations on when they can or cannot eat meat. Christians are people who are very passionate about the bible. It is what it is.
tentofield – The only true Protestants are the Lutherans. I am neither. I am a Christian.

Catholics are a huge cult because they don’t obey God’s 10 commandments, they teach the traditions of men, they worship idols etc.

Catholics are Christians. The main division in Christianity is between Catholics and Protestants. Until the 16th century, apart from a few odd sects and the Orthodox religions, the whole of Christianity was Catholic. The Reformation brought Protestants which have since split into thousands of sects, most of them American and less than a hundred years old.

Christianity is an umbrella term. Catholicism is a branch of Christianity.
It’s almost impossible to say which religion goes most by the bible. Some take it more literally, some more metaphorically, but most pick and choose what they want. No religion in the US goes strictly by the bible, because it’s illegal to stone homosexuals and adulterers.
Rosaries are used by multiple religions, not just Christian, but in that, Catholics seem to use them most. They are prayer beads.

All denominations claim to possess the one “true” interpretation of the Bible. It’s much more simple if we recognise them all as Christians in the broadest sense of the term ie. those who aspire to be Christ- like.
The only religion that will offer to come to your home and teach you the bible on a one to one basis whereever you live on earth are JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES. Even the mighty Catholic church doesn’t have the manpower* to offer people weekly home bible studies. Contact your local church and they will send you a program for their group or church lessons where YOU have to come to THEM. Ask Jehovah’s Witnesses and they will come to you.

*one sure fire way to get your local Priest to visit your home for the first time is to tell them you are studying with Jehovah’s Witnesses
Answer by geotomMost Catholics consider themselves to be Christians but very few are. They put their faith in the sacraments and not in Jesus Christ. Jesus said you must be born again to see the kingdom of heaven, the catholic church does not teach this. Protestant believers put their faith in God as the bible stats we should. I was raised a Catholic and attended their schools, and later after reading the bible did I learn the truth from Gods word. I recommend that you read the book of JOHN to learn about the real God of the bible. GOD BLESS!Answer by Charchar713
I suppose the question regarding which religion teaches you the most about (or straight from) the bible will be answered differently by different people. I think the most important question in that vein would ebe to ask yourself “which religion teaches from and about the bible most ACCURATELY? Its all well and good if a religion teaches you tons of stuff about the bible, but if none of it it true, thats not going to help much, you know?
To help you understand the difference Between Catholics and Christians, I am going to use the thing about the difference between rectangles and squares: All rectangles are squares, but not all squares are rectangles. Likewise, all Catholics are Christians, but not all Christians are Catholics. Alternatively, you could think of Catholicism as just one branch on a tree of christianity. I may be wrong about some of them, spfeel free to correct me, but I believe Lutheranism, Baptism (if that is the right term, i mean Baptists lol!). Protestantism, and Mormonism are all considered branches of christianity.yet they are not catholic.

The one the Bible Teaches.
“And what are the differences between catholics and Christians”
I just don’t think this question has a short enough answer that would be adequate and not overly generalized. I can tell you, that the bible makes only two distinctions of people in their believing. “Believers” and “Unbelievers”( according to what they “DO”.) The word “Christian”, is in the Bible, but it was introduced in Antioch, by unbelievers making a segregating term between themselves and the believers who were telling everyone that they had “Christ in” them, so they called them “Christ-ins”. The Authority of God in the Bible, never gave Believers on Christ a segregating label from the rest of the people in the world. The scripture only classifies people according to their actions or not as for terms of distinctions of such kind. I don’t use rosarys, and I couldn’t tell you much about it. They are not mentioned in the scriptures.Answer by OPsaltis
The first question: Christianity, since the Bible (particularly the New Testament) is the book of the Church.
Second question: Christianity, since they are the only ones interested in teaching the scriptures, and not simply using its complexities as reasons to follow some other reliion.
Third question: Catholics (RC) and Orthodox (OC) are Christians. So are Protestants(P). The differences among them are many and complicated. One one level, all trust in Christ as savior. Contrary to some allegations in this forum, none believes that we are saved by works. But RC and OC teach we are saved for good works, and we disobey God if we do not help the poor, etc (Matt 25:31-46). We will be judged by our works (Revelation).
On another level, the structures of church government are different, with RC and OC being the closest to the ancient (post-apostolic) era, with bishops, priests, and deacons (some P have these, too.) In RC, the Pope of Rome is the highest authority. Among OC, the regional patriarch or archbishop is recognized as the local highest authority, with no higher authority. P denominations have their own very fractured structure, with no respect for regional authority.
Blessings.
