Matt: What reason would a mother have to sabotage her sons life?
My mother held be back alot in my life and was generally crazy. I want to know what reason if any a mother would have to hold her son back.

To stay in control. However it is up to you, since you know about it, first ) protect yourself from it, second) try not to fall for someone who will replace her. This is a toxic relationship, it is possible that she does not realize the damage she creates.
