Needs Help!: What type of music should I play at a Casino themed party?
I will be throwing a party with a Casino theme. There will be poker, blackjack, etc.
But, what kind of music do I play? I thought at first maybe Standards, like Frank Sinatra or Tony Bennet, but that’s too boring or depressing.
I can’t play modern music like Lil Wayne or Kanye West because, it just doesn’t fit.
So what do I play?

Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and others are good. Maybe you could also go with some Stan Getz, “Girl from Ipanema” or other elevator type jazz standards.
Anything on Blue Note Records is good.Hard to find, but worth the effort.
The Casino is the draw or focus, the music is background ambiance.
Look at the soundtrack from “Guys and Dolls”, that recording alone will fill the null void.

I’ve done this before. What is your age range attending? One of the best music choices would be Tom Jones, Wayne, Engleburt, along with Sinatra, Dean, Elvis, etc…this should be ran in the background. If you check on the internet, check all of the stars who have played MGM, Hilton, Stardust etc..Good Luck
I think you should play lil wayne.Answer by Flitwick
Nah, forget the stereotype…casinos themselves play music to fit their clientele. Used to be only older folks gambled, this lounge type music was the order of the day.
Go to Vegas now…Hard Rock Casino pumps modern hard rockin tunes. Go to Mandalay Bay. They pump out Asianthemed music instrumentals.
Take a look at your party list and play to the crowd. Forget the cliche.
Cheers and have fun
Answer by Travis KTwo Words: Michael Buble. Listen to “It Had Better Be Tonight (Meglio Stasera)” and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
