crys_1982: What makeup is good for people with oily skin?
I have very oily skin so I usually don’t wear much makeup because it wears off so quickly. I usually buy Cover Girl because it’s cheap. I’m getting married next year, I want to know what brand of makeup will be the best to buy. I don’t really care how much it costs. I just want to look beautiful for my groom, and I don’t want my makeup to wear off. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Bare Minerals. It’s the best make-up and makes you look natural. It costs about 60 dollars at Ulta.
Have you tried a mineral foundation yet? I have very oily skin, but ever since I began using the stuff, my face hardly ever gets shiny. And I don’t break out!Answer by Iknowthis!
Powdered mineral makeup is the best. It helps absorb oil, and does not clog the skin.
The first was Bare Escentuals and there are a host of other brands out there.

I think that Cover Girl sells a product called Clean Makeup, and it would be very good for your skin type.
But for really oily skin, I would recommend using a product with salicylic acid in it because it will try oily skin and keep your make up on.
Also, it’s great to use oil-blotting papers because they don’t smudge your makeup and they keep you oil-free.
Answer by roberta sI love the liquid mineral powder foundation by Bee Luscious Cosmetics I have an oily T-Zone but my daughter has skin like yours and the only product she has gotten results from is Bee Luscious also on her wedding day last July we also got her the Silk Radiance powder and what a gorgeous difference it made. It lasted ALL DAY and she was all a glowAnswer by Jen
This is a hard question to answer — a foundation that works for one person may not work for another! And of course the most important aspect in choosing makeup is selecting a color that matches your skintone perfectly, so that you don’t have that dreaded makeup line at your jaw! Not every brand will make a color that’s a perfect match for you.
For oily skin, definitely use something with a matte finish. If you have problems with acne, also make sure that the product is labeled “noncomedogenic” or “nonacnegenic” — products labeled “oil-free” don’t have oil but may have other pore-clogging ingredients.
If you are using a liquid foundation, also look into buying a powder to wear on top to help set your foundation, make it last, and cut down on oil. Loose powders are best — pressed powders often contain waxes or oils used to press the powder into the compact, which in turn can clog your pores. If you want to use a traditional liquid foundation and powder, I would recommend Prescriptives — they have a good color selection, and you can also pay extra to get makeup custom-mixed to match your skin exactly.
I would also look into mineral makeup, there are a ton of brands now, mostly online only. Mineral makeup is almost always a loose powder (no liquid foundations), and contains all-natural ingredients and is excellent for all skintypes — oily, acne-prone, sensitive, etc. (But beware of brands like Bare Essentials which contain bismuth oxychloride, which many people are allergic to!) If you find the right shade, mineral makeup often looks more natural than liquid makeup too! I personally LOVE Aromaleigh (www.aromaleigh.com) — not only are they the only brand, tradtional or mineral, that makes a foundation that matches my skintone EXACTLY, they are also one of the few mineral makeup brands that makes a matte foundation (most are shimmery). All mineral makeup brands let you order samples before buying a full size, so definitely take advantage of that!
Finally, look into other products you can use to cut back on oil. You can try wearing foundation primers underneath your foundation to help with the oiliness (I use Aromaleigh’s Porcelaine Primer). I also recommend C.O. Bigelow Extra-Light Face Lotion — it contains white clay which helps absorb oil and is THE only product that’s made any difference in my oily skin! Also, for your wedding you’ll definitely want to touch up if you are as oily as I am! Instead of adding extra powder throughout the day (which just soaks up the oil and turns into a muddy mess), try using blotting sheets — they will soak up the oil without messing up your makeup! You can find Clean and Clear blotting sheets in most drugstores, they are usually around $ 5 for a box of 50 sheets. You might still keep a little extra powder or foundation around in case you still need a touch-up.
Hope that helps!
Answer by luvly3423Avon has a personal match smooth mineral makeup that does not have any oil in it so that you wont be putting oil on top of oil. I have the same problem and I don’t think you should worry as much about the makeup as a skin care regimin. If you take care of your skin before you apply makeup it will reduce the amount of oil that shows up during the day. Take a look at my store.Answer by Smith.Schumi
I would recommend you try MAC. It’s awesome and I love it! I have really oily skin which I had to blot every 2 hours.
Recently, I discovered the face primer. The primer controls the oil and helps smooth out the make up. It totally changed my life! My skin is no longer oily and I only have to blot once/twice a day.
What I do now is put on my moisturiser, then the face primer called Prep+Prime Skin, then Studio Fix Select SPF15 liquid foundation, concealer and finish off with the MAC lightful powder. It totally keeps the oil at bay plus covers the millions of blemishes on my face 😛
