luna: What law allows the president to change immigration laws?
I know that the president needs approval from congress. But what in the constitution allows immigration laws to change?

any law changes have to be made by congress .. although these days activist judges change them too.
The only power he has in this is to veto a law, sign it, suggest it to congress or create an executive order that creates a policy.Answer by mick t
There isn’t one. The president uses executive orders (not mentioned in the constitution) to usurp the power of congress.
