The game: What kind of parrot is the easiest to breed?
I would like to know what kind of parrot/bird is the easiest to breed? I know that parakeets are easy and finches are, but I’m looking for someone like cockatiel and birds like them.
Also I would like to know what kind of birds are aggressive and which are not aggressive. I know that lovebirds are aggressive.
So please if you know the True answer for my questions please answer.
Thanks a lot.

I used to have 6 cockatiels and the females would keep laying eggs and most would hatch so i would say thaey are your best chance.
Cockateils aren’t aggressive as long as there hand tame and trust you. If they don’t trust you any bird can be aggressive. And its like 75 dollars for the normal Grey cockateils and 100 for pied or lutino.Answer by Paige
Cockatiels will breed very easily if given the correct items to do so ( alone time, nesting box) They are not very aggresive, but its possible they will be depending on the bird.
The only ohter birds I have had that bred easily were a pair of african grey parrots, they were semi-aggresive when mating,, but otherwise they are very smar and sweet!Answer by Baba Yaga
The best way to get this kind of information is to contact breeders. They would have the most reliable info. Some people have better results with some types of birds while others do not. You’ve got to have the right equipment, housing, foods and of course your breeding birds. Sometimes breeders will sell a bonded pair of birds. You’ll have to consider the amount of space you can devote to a breeding operation including the size of the birds themselves. Of course the bigger the bird the more space you’ll need. Have you ever had Parrots before? Are you familiar with their care? And needs? They can be very expensive too. One more thing – Parrots can be very noisy & loud depending on the breed of bird. Can your fellow housemates and you deal with the noise? Oh & they can be very messy pets too.
As far as which birds are aggressive- that depends a lot on the bird. How were they raised, were the captive bred? Hand Fed, given a lot of attention and handling? Any bird can be aggressive just like people. I’ve known people with the sweetest Lovebirds but I’ve also known them to be nippy. It all depends on how they’re raised etc.
Before getting into anything involving pets you should really do a lot of research on the subjects. Not just on breeding but Parrots in general, their care & maintenance etc. Never buy Wild Caught birds no matter how cheap they are! Always buy Captive Bred birds. I can’t emphasize enough about doing your research. Be careful of the info out there too. There’s a lot of “Mis-Information” out there so use common sense when learning. A very good source is Sally Blanchard, she’s a Parrot Behaviorist. She, in my opinion, is one of the best sources of good information all about Parrots. She’s written a few books and has a quarterly magazine called Companion Parrot Quarterly (www.companionparrot.com). Check her out & good luck. Don’t forget to do your research!Answer by Nejc
Hey
There is no such tings as easiest to breed,if you would hand feed them you will need to read a lot about that kind of thing because hand feeding small chicks isn’t something u can just go and do it takes years of experience.I’m breeder myself for over 5years now and i still learn new things of different Species everyday.About aggressive parrots any hand feed parrot will be socialized and will let u do pretty much everything,so u can train them.
