darkpanther0210: What kind of discrimination laws are there against hotels and motels?
I am 21 years of age with a clean record. I tried to rent a hotel room at the Days Inn in my hometown. I was refused service on the basis that “locals tear up our rooms.” Is this discrimination?

That is total discrimination! I can’t believe that! Ugh that makes me so angry. People are so judgemental these days. And also they should not have refused service from you when you are paying THEM to stay in their little hotel.
I work at a hotel and it’s not uncommon to turn down people for thing like that. Particularly if it’s a business hotel. We don’t do it here and we are always having problems with it. People throw parties in the rooms until 4 in the morning keeping other people up. It is not discrimination. It’s making a choice that they hope will improve their hotel.
