: What is the term for children who do poorly in school due to abuse?
There is a term that defines when children who normally make good grades in school suddenly start failing classes. When the school discovers the child is being abused or mental disturbance, they work with the child and the child generally can rebound and start doing well in class again. Does anyone know what the term is?
