What is the prevalence of sexual abuse in the Amish community?

Steph: What is the prevalence of sexual abuse in the Amish community?
I understand that child abuse and other forms of abuse (I’m referring mostly to sexual with this question) occur in every community of people. However, would you say that the percentages/the prevalence of child abuse and sex abuse and rape is greater in the Amish community than in others? Or the same? I’ve heard it’s very common and read some articles about it. Any comments welcomed even if you can’t answer my question 😛

In fact, sexual abuse is the most common in the Native American community.

I don’t know, I’m just answering to see what other answers you get. This is of interest to me, as I use to visit Amish country when I lived in PA. Hope you don’t mind.

Anyway, Amish people have always scared me for some reason. This was made MUCH worse after Ed Gingerich!
