Saying it over and over and over and over oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Answer by Birdman
My parrots rarely repeat what is constantly repeated to them. I have found, the best way is to just talk to someone else in front of the bird. They will pick up whatever phrases they wish to repeat. Its always their choice.

You can find some helpful hints in the article below on three common techniques along with some other tips.

Answer by Princess
1.) Keep repeating the words that you are trying to teach him to say

2.) Always be calm and have patience ( since most parrots can sense when their owners are in stress – and when they do that would also put them in stress)

3.) Always reward him when he tries to say the words – the more you reward them the more your parrot will know that he is doing something right and he will be getting the hang of learning new words and probably would want to keep learning new words

4.) Play the CD as often as possible and Try to pronounce the same words in front of your parrot – this is what I did with my Parrot and little by little he started say the words with me as well !

Answer by Konstantin
I guess everything depends on you. From my experience the more you talk to you parrot the words they pick up. It is almost like teaching your baby to pronounce first words. Parrots will mimic any sounds that they here often and therefore make the list of words you would like to start with and repeat them when you communicate you parrot. Results will show pretty quickly.
