The main idea behind taxation is that everyone contributes a portion of their income toward common expenses. For example, the government pays for roads so you don’t have to use your own money to fix the road in front of your own house.

my god, virtually no one here understands how the real world works. listen folks, taxes suck, but they are very important. Mr. “oh they’re keeping me down, or taking my freedom” you can have the freedom to take yourself out back to shit in a hole next time, as you don’t want the big scary government taking your money for sewage disposal or water treatment.
