muk.mukesh: What is the entry criteria to play Tennis ITF futures tournamnents?
I have no ATP ranking and not a pro tennis player. I know that to start the tennis career, we can start with futures tournaments. But on what basis can a person be qulaified to futures?? Is it mandatory to have ATP ranking to qualify for futures? If so, how can i start my pro tennis career?

Okay. Almost all guys start in futures. It really is the beginning of the beginning. So obviously if you start in futures, then you’re not going to have an ATP ranking. You get that from playing futures.
Have you played ITF junior tournaments? It also depends on how old you are. You have to get permission from your country’s tennis federation for them to allow you to play international tournaments…
It’s really not as complicated as it seems. But I just don’t know what tournaments you’ve already played ect, so its hard to answer. Sorry bout that.
Answer by www.tennis-game.netAll you do is go to , you will find the calendar there to see which tournaments are near you. Depending on how big the draw is, you will probably be able to get into the qualifying section. Try to start out with the tournaments during the college semester, because they are not as strong. As soon as school gets out, all the good college players flock to the Futures. Good luck!
