Having sex is just engaging in the act itself. Making love is sex accompanied by tenderness, passion, warmth, words of love, deep meaningful kissing, etc.

Some people see “making love” was well, making love. A more emotional experience than just doing the ‘dirty deed’. I do kind of find the phrase “making love” to be a tad bit cheesy, my girlfriend agrees too. Lol.

Making love is generally all the things done up until sex. Called “foreplay” it can be more important to a relationship than the actual sex act. Too many people equal sex with love.

Making love requires feelings for the person you are having sex with. Having sex with someone you truly care for involves passion and a knowledge of what they want. Connection on an emotional level during sex is a great feeling that cannot be copied in any way.

Having sex is great but it is the act and nothing else.

To simplify the matter. Making love would be sex with someone you have been in a relationship for a long time and having sex would be a one night stand.

In my opinion making love is better but to each his own.

Technically they’re the same thing. Making love seems much more intimate and influenced more by love. Where “having sex” sounds like it’s influenced by sexual attraction. Whatever you call it – It’s intercourse none the less 😛

Making love: is when you do sex with your beloved partner( in a relationship), and this act gives you the pleasure of translating this love in a physical behavior. At this point your emotions, feelings and desire functions all together to give you the please of “making love”.
Having sex: is when you satisfy your sexual desires/needs (5-10minutes) through any other person.

Having sex is just doing it for the physical sensations without any emotional investment in the act.

Having sex” can mean many things. … “penile-vaginal intercourse”
means having a man’s penis placed inside a woman’s vagina. it can be done even though you dont like the partner that you are going to have sex with.

making love implies more emotional commitment/involvement, supposedly it’s more about love as opposed to lust I’m guessing. Whereas having sex is more technical, makes no such promises, and is more the physical needs of getting off. Both can be used to say you had sex of some sort, and sometimes “making love” is used to be more hopeful, “romantic” or for people who don’t want it to sound so “bad”. I would use “making love” for fun sometimes, but it is a little cheesy in a way. Having sex works just fine, and I can think of a billion more ways to say that we “did it” or something without saying either of those…lol I like variety =)
