☆emilee☆: What is the difference between hotels and motels?
I have been wondering about this for a while.
Are there any differences or are they simply the names that they choose?
Thanks!

A motel is the combination of motor and hotel and implies its proximity to roadways. Motels are limited in the facilities that they provide (they are not allowed to have a restaurant in most place), and they target people who drive by and need short term accommodations. Hotels are multifunctional, target guests who use more than one mode of transportation, and are more flexible in the duration of a stay. Hope this helps!Answer by ?
Motels are “motor hotels”. Which means you drive up to the door of your room. Hotels usually involve getting out of your car and going to your room through a lobby and hallway!!!!Answer by Robert W
