What is the difference between christianity and other ancient religions or myths?

Jose V: What is the difference between christianity and other ancient religions or myths?
I dont get it. Whats the difference? What makes christianity more correct than the myths of the greeks or egyptians? Or any religion for that matter. Are religions today any more true than the ones in the past?

don’t know much about religion..

There is no difference. In ancient Greece, they believed in their gods just as much as modern day Christians or any other religious person believes in their god.

Answer by Brian J
Well, I think the Greek Myths are “true-er” than Christianity.
I’ll tell you why.

Christians have been waiting for the Armageddon (end of the world) since Apostle Paul’s day. That is over 1900 years wrong. Every few years, some sect thinks its got to be coming now.
It’s hard to be more wrong than continuously wrong for 1900 years straight.
I can’t even imagine what could be more wrong than that.

Answer by KyleD
The difference is that Christianity forces their religion on people. I don’t follow a religion so it doesn’t affect me.

Answer by Windweaver
There’s no true difference, all the various religious practices are really just window dressing. Because when it comes down to it, all the religions are just different paths to the same destination. The quest to become closer to the creator.

The Egyptian’s were very far advanced for there time. There have been known records of them being able to cut open peoples brains with tools that we have in the hospitals today.
They could not have got hold of this information if it wasn’t for the Gods-advanced beings than us.
When Jehova, the one known as “God”, the lie created, people fell back in time, and were not advanced and degraded spiritually.

Christianity grew out of other middle eastern sects. There are two types of religion that I think of: those where you have a relationship with God, like Christianity, etc; and those where you are a manifestation of God.

Answer by Beth R ƒ
its not. Arrogant self rightious christians just think it is. its called FAITH for a reason people. plus their religion comes off the back of the very faith that incorporated ancient greek , roman and egypitain mythology-deny it as they will.

Answer by draco13jm
There are a lot of people that call themselves Christians who know nothing of the God they claim to serve. These people not only make Christianity look bad but they give God a bad name as well. Never ever believe what someone says about God unless they can back it with the Bible. Check it yourself to make sure.

God is love. The entire basis of the law is to love your neighbor as yourself. The whole Bible is just commentary on that one principle. Sin is the very opposite of love. “Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law.” Romans 13:10 God loves you.

God punishes sin and hates sin and He will send sinners to Hell. Why? Because He said He would. “God cannot be tempted with evil.” James 1:13. God cannot be close to sin or around sin. So, therefore, sin cannot enter into Heaven. God doesn’t want you to perish in Hell. He wants you to love Him. God does love you and He sent His Son to die for you so that you can be made free of sin and be with the God who loves you.

True religion is not Christianity, per say, but, “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep himself unspotted from the world.” James 1:27

I hope this answered your question. True joy can only be found through Jesus. Don’t listen to the wolves in sheep’s clothing.

P.S. Satan is not a nice angel. He is a liar and a thief. His ways are destruction and he wants you to die.
